While You Were Out

This weekend, I did a little "While You Were Out," Molly-style. My parents were gone for the week, so I spent the weekend painting my old bedroom -- stripes on one wall, solid taupe/green on the opposite wall. My mom had purchased the bedspread, curtains and pillows, and I made her buy some lamps that I found on sale last weekend. So while she was gone, I put the whole room together and added color to the walls. I also dug around the house and found a bunch of old family photos that I scattered around the room. It has sort of an antique-y, bed-and-breakfast feel, I think. I like it!

Mom & dad come home in 30 minutes, so we'll see if they like it, too!

Of course I love it - It is so much better than the green carpet and plain white walls... looks inviting. I just have to keep the new comforter covered because of the hairy animals that like to sleep on beds - including yours!! Thank you so much!

Sounds like a fun project (and reminds me of our Machen common room makeover). Will we get to see some before and after photos?
