Makin' The News

Okay, not really. But when I did a little blog surfing today, I noticed this post from Bob Kauflin. As soon as I read the title, "Receiving Correction As A Gift," my "peacemaker alarm" started going off in my head (in a good way). I thought, "He should mention peacemaking in his post" -- it sounds an awfully lot like the 3rd G, "Gently Restore."

And then, part way through the article, I had the pleasure of seeing my good pastor's name and one of my favorite peacemaking articles referenced. Good stuff: read 'em both!

******

By the way, I'm coming to absolutely love what I do. Not that I thought I wouldn't like it, but I'm realizing more and more that the work of peacemaking is so close to God's heart; it's what he's all about, and it's what he calls us to be all about. I realized the other day that I have the privilege to regularly speak the Gospel who desperately need to hear it: that's my JOB! In the process, I'm constantly speaking the Gospel to myself and becoming increasingly ingrained with it. And when I'm not speaking the Gospel directly to people, I'm equipping people who are going to do it. What a privilege!
