Grace Upon Grace

The first verse of Sandra McCracken's "Grace Upon Grace" has been in my mind for the last week:

In every station, new trials and troubles
Call for more grace than I can afford
Where can I go but to my dear Savior
For mercy that pours from boundless stores

I love that phrase "call for more grace than I can afford." Isn't it so true! But isn't that also the point?
