So, I wrote everybody's names out on a piece of paper.
Then I cut them up and put them in a jar.
This was not just any jar; this was a Waterford Crystal biscuit jar. We was gonna go fancy. This is the real thing.
But then I was reminded that two of my thirteen contestants currently live in my home, so maybe there would be some question as to the fairness of the drawing.
So I lined the pieces of paper up across the carpet.
And set a pretzel next to each piece of paper. I needed somebody who didn't have a vested interest in the outcome.
Who could be more undiscriminating than a dog? And not just any dog (because Callie can be pretty particular sometimes), but a labradork!
We made him sit there for a while to really get the excitement up. He loves food, and he'd do almost anything for a pretzel.
And the winner is...
Congratulations, Ashleigh! Send me your contact details to molly.routson-at-gmail.com and I'll get your book in the mail to you.
Thanks to EVERYONE who entered, it was fun to "meet" some of you and to hear from others.
Disclaimer: If you take issue with the fairness of the contest, take it up with the Migster. He can be bribed (easily), but keep in mind that he has a *really* short attention span, so if he acts like he doesn't know what you're talking about, he's not faking it. Just give him another pretzel and move on with life.

That cracks me up! I've never won anything before and I am quite pleased to have been chosen by your pooch. :) Excited about the book, too!
