Happy Birthday to My Husband

A couple of numbers that I put in his birthday card:
  • 31: the number of years of life that God has been faithful to him
  • 10: the number of years that he thinks he could have done without, but without which he wouldn't be who he is today
  • 2: number of his birthdays that we've been married
  • 3: number of his birthdays that we've celebrated together
  • 5 countries we visited together in the last year
  • 7 countries total the two of us have been in over the last year
  • 8 wine glasses we've broken this year (all accidental, including one last night)
  • 4 number of times I've made homemade marshmallows in the last year (including the topping for his birthday cake, which will be a later blog post when I can upload some pics)
  • 2 gaming consols that we now own (to my chagrin)
  • 2 dogs
  • 5 dogs when we house-sit for my parents
  • 2 new tattoos (both his, happy birthday, dear)
  • 4 bikes (one mountain bike and one road "fixie" each)
  • 107 bottles of beer lying in our basement until I cleaned them up a few weeks ago (that's approximate but not exaggeration)
  • 1 shiny new camera
  • 1 official date night (yikes! we need to get out together more often, except we like to stay in and have me cook so much!)
  • 1+1=1=US!
It's been a great year; here's looking forward to many more, and Happy Birthday to my one and only!
