Save me, O God, by your name,
and vindicate me by your might.

"Save me" is the most elemental prayer. It is at the heart of biblical religion. It joins human need with God's action in Jesus, whose name means, literally, "The Lord Saves."

Thanks, this reminds me of a pastor from Cambodia that we know who tells his story of being dragged to a killing field and at the last moment prayed, "Lord of the universe, save me"! And, He did. :)
