Dios De Maravillas.

I love spring in Philadelphia (right now, anyway). This afternoon as I was driving to the store, I rolled my windows down and enjoyed the crisp - not too hot, not too cold, not too humid - air. I enjoyed the rare blue sky. I drove through several neighborhoods where the azaleas were in full bloom. And "God of Wonders" came on my stereo. Perfect!

Besides the fact that I just love the words, this song evokes two memories in my mind. The first is the first time I heard the song - on a mission trip to Honduras with the church at which I will soon happily be a member. The second is the most "God of Wonders" place I know, the northern edge of the Crazy Mountains in MT.

I also just bought a CD of Spanish worship music that includes "Dios de Maravillas." It reminds me that He's not only God of my beautiful places, but of all the beautiful places that I hope to visit someday!

(and, yes, I am trying to see how many links I can embed in this post! That's what you do when you don't have a final until Wednesday afternoon!)

I'm glad you've come to appreciate some of the Philadelphia beauty...of course to me, it will always be beautiful. I guess it's true that there's no place like home, no matter how far you wander from it! This summer I hope to blog more about the natural beauty of this area - NJ especially, since people can be quite ignorant to all that South Jersey has to offer. =)

You have some great pics posted, Molly (from flickr, that is). Those Crazy Mountains pics are...well...crazy! But what's even crazier to me is that they're called the Crazy Mountains!

And goodnight moon, I agree: Philadelphia has much natural beauty, especially for a big city. And I'm not biased at all (even though I'm from here). That's a joke, by the way.
