WDJD

Just had one thought today (now that I'm not in seminary, I limit my "heavy thinking" to one thought per diem).

You know the ol' WWJD - what would Jesus do. It's good so far as it goes. But in good indicative-imperative manner, I think we should start printing WDJD bracelets - what DID Jesus do. After all, what Jesus did - his active and passive righteousness, sending his Holy Spirit and renewing us in his image - has decisive influence on our ability to reflect Christ's glory.

Okay, that was the thought for the day. The rest of the day was spent traveling - I'm back in Chicago for my brother's dual graduation from law and business schools. So, we have a slightly altered version of the same group that congregated two weeks ago for my graduation. It's fun.

I've often thought WDJS would be an improvement over WWJD, too. What did Jesus say? Both what he did and said work together wonderfully to give us a great standard!

A good idea both theologically and entrepreneurially. You could probably make a pretty penny from the Reformed blogging community. All profits to charity, of course. :)
