One of Those Days

This is "one of those days." It just is. No apparent reason. It's not even rainy, which is what I usually give as my reason for being crabby. After wallowing for a couple of hours (and going home to cuddle with my dogs, and buying a black&whitedoubleshotmocha in the hopes that it would help), I decided to take the advice of Martin Lloyd-Jones (courtesy of CJ Mahaney): "Have you realized that most of your unhappiness in life is due to the fact that you are listening to yourself instead of talking to yourself?"

Not knowing what to say to myself (which is actually a bit unusual), I did what any person my age would do: I googled "biblical counsel when you're having one of those days" Oh, the common grace of Google!

Coincidentally (or not so much), the first link was from Girl Talk, written by the women in CJ Mahaney's family. Apparently they are a group who practice what their father preaches!
