Ah, the long-awaited "real" post

Well, I have about 10 minutes to sit down and think ... in front of a computer ... when I'm not wanting to get away from the computer. Instead of trying to compose something cohesive, I'll just ramble...
  • Devotions at work this morning featured the lovely Miss S sharing about the nature of grace. Ah, what a joy it is to be reminded that God gives us ample grace for each moment, and not a bit more ... but also not a bit less. (Ha! I know you're reading this -- thank you!)
  • I've gotten several email reminders this week about the persecuted church -- pray for the persecuted church in China, other parts of Asia, and in Muslim countries. They have a much different experience of "grace for the moment" than we do, huh!
  • Pastor Alfred talked a little on Sunday about how God gives us glimpses into his experience. "A thousand years are like a day; a day is like a thousand years." How many of us have said, "I can't believe the summer's over! It seems like memorial day was just yesterday!" That's not a thousand years, but it is 3 months gone in a blink.
  • Speaking of time going by like the blink of an eye, happy birthday to my mom, who gets to celebrate today another year of God's faithfulness in her life!

And that's all for now, because we're going out to dinner to celebrate :)

Thanks - God has been very faithful to me and His grace is sufficient! May He be glorified! (I tried to comment as randommother but it didn't like my password - and I only use one - so what can it be??! Techie - I am not!)
