I was reading Ed Welch's Running Scared last night and came across a Bible verse that just stopped me cold in my tracks. I love it -- I wrote it down on an index card I had on my nightstand and went to sleep repeating it to myself; when I woke up this morning, I looked it up in context and read the whole chapter (it's King Jehoshaphat when a huge army is attacking him). It's really simple, but really profound ... are you ready?
We do not know what to do,
But our eyes are upon you.
(2 Chron 20:12b)
I can think of about a billion ways to immediately apply it.
Lover of my husband, kids, travel, dogs, mountains, photography, reading, movies, gardening, white chocolate mochas, theology, history, languages and cooking. Most importantly, I'm learning more and more how to be a lover of my Lord and His people.
