Presuppositions, anyone?

Harvard University has decided to spend millions of dollars to solve that pesky "origin of life" question once-and-for-all. Says one scientist: "It is quite gratifying to see Harvard is going for a solution to a problem that will be remembered 100 years from now."

My question, though, is how Harvard imagines they will have anything to contribute to the debate when their researchers enter the investigation convinced that God did not have a hand in creation.

"My expectation is that we will be able to reduce this to a very simple series of logical events that could have taken place with no divine intervention," said David R. Liu, a professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Harvard.

Then again, should we expect anything else from a mind that hasn't been renewed by God's grace? (Rom 1:18-25; 1 Cor 1:27)
